Jose has been a cornerstone of the Port’s Marina team since 2004, serving in the role of Senior Marina Maintenance. With an engineering background, he brings both technical skill and practical expertise to the daily operations and upkeep of the marina’s facilities. His extensive certifications including crane, forklift, travel lift, and manlift operations reflect his versatility and commitment to maintaining safe, efficient waterfront operations. Jose values the strong relationships he has built over the years, sharing that he appreciates working with good people and enjoys meeting new friends along the way. Known widely for his friendship and kindness, he brings a great deal of positivity to the workplace. Throughout his time at the Port, Jose has contributed to numerous major improvement projects, including boatyard enhancements, upgrades to the East Basin Fish Cleaning Station, and construction of the new dock at the West Basin. His work has played a meaningful role in strengthening the Port’s infrastructure and supporting both maritime partners and the broader community.
