Airport Open House & Fly-In

The Port of Astoria and Coast Guard Air Station Astoria are co-hosting an Open House and Fly-In at the Astoria Regional Airport on August 19, 2023. This fun and free event will feature a Coast Guard open house, aircraft demonstrations, and displays of military and general aviation aircraft as well as classic cars and motorcycles. Pier 2 West Rehabilitation Project

At the Port of Astoria board commission meeting on February 7th, the Board of Commissioners approved an award of the Pier 2 West Construction Management/General Contractor contract to Bergerson Construction. Next steps for the project are environmental, permitting, and design work as a prerequisite for the construction phase. Read More

Airport Master Plan

Waterfront Master Plan Update

At the Astoria City Council meeting on November 18th, a draft of Walker Macy's plan for code amendments was presented to the city council. The Port and the City will continue to work cooperatively to move these code amendments forward, and hope for adoption sometime in early 2023. Scoular Processing Plant Opens

The Port celebrated the completion of the Scoular fishmeal process plant at the Airport Industrial Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 19th. Airport Tide Gate Study

In coordination with the City of Warrenton and with grant assistance from the Oregon Business Development Department, the Port will move forward with a study of the Vera Slough Tide Gate, located at the north end of the airport.
