Accounting Specialist
EDUCATION: Rachel finished her bachelor's degree in Accounting Technology from the University of Mindanao in Davao City, Philippines.
ROLE AT THE PORT: Rachel is the Accounting Specialist for the Port of Astoria. She supports the accounting department and assists in preparing accurate and timely financial reports. She is responsible for all accounts payable functions for the port, including, but not limited to, processing vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and preparing monthly journal entries.
WORK HISTORY: After she graduated in 2015, Rachel served as an accounting assistant, bookkeeper, audit staff member, and collection officer for different industries.
FAMILY: Rachel was born and raised in the Philippines. In 2019, she decided to move to the beautiful Oregon Coast and live with her husband and their two dogs.
HOBBIES: Rachel loves mountain biking, swimming, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places with her husband.
