Sea Lions at the East Mooring Basin

Over the last few years, the Port has received a wide range of potential “solutions” to our East Mooring Basin sea lion problem: fake orcas, low voltage mats, and even the spritzing of whale urine have been proposed.  One of the more recent suggestions includes the stringing of beach balls.

And though it may seem a bit strange, it seems to be working.
